Delivery of 6 10 kV transformer substations for the Renera-Energtek LLC plant in the Kaliningrad region has been completed
2 September 2025
“Electronmash” has successfully fulfilled its obligations for the manufacturing and supply of electrical equipment as part of the creation of production facilities for lithium-ion cells, modules, traction batteries for electric transport, and stationary energy storage systems.
LLC “Renera-Entertech” will open Russia’s first high-tech gigafactory for the production of lithium-ion batteries in the Neman District of the Kaliningrad Region, with a capacity of 4 GWh. This capacity is sufficient to provide traction batteries (TAB) for 50,000 electric vehicles.
As part of the project, “Electronmash” manufactured and supplied the following types of in-plant complete transformer substations:
- 6KTP-ELM-3200(1600)/10/0,4(0,23) – with two 3200 kVA and four 1600 kVA power transformers;
- 8KTP-ELM-1600(2000; 2500)/10/0,23(0,4) – with two transformers of 1600 kVA, four of 2000 kVA, two of 2500 kVA;
- 6KTP-ELM-4000(1000)/10/0,4(0,23) – with two 1000 kVA transformers, four 2000 kVA transformers;
- 4KTP-ELM-3200/10/0.4 – with four 3200 kVA transformers;
- 4KTP-ELM-630(1000)/10/0,4(0,23) – with two transformers of 1000 kVA, with two of 630 kVA.
All substations are equipped with 10 kV complete switchgear, “Assol” main switchboards at 0.4 and/or 0.23 kV, “ExOnSys” series S 65 Ah DC auxiliary power supply systems , cast-resin power transformers, reactive power compensation units based on thyristor switches with a rated capacity of up to 1500 kvar, as well as air and cast bus ducts. For data transmission to the upper-level system, the Modbus TCP protocol is used.
At present, intensive construction, installation, and commissioning works are underway at the site. Electronmash specialists are carrying them out in accordance with the schedule, ensuring the full technical readiness of the equipment for commissioning as part of the gigafactory’s technological complex. The equipment has been supplied with due consideration of the high requirements for reliability, energy efficiency, and integration into the plant’s digital infrastructure.
JSC Electronmash extends its gratitude to LLC Novolex Holding Company for the trust and the opportunity to participate in the implementation of a project of strategic importance for the country. The production of lithium-ion batteries is one of the key directions in the development of domestic industry and energy independence. We are proud that our products are becoming part of such high-tech facilities, and we are confident that the experience gained in the implementation of this project will serve as a foundation for further successful cooperation.
